2006-02-11 第3話 どっちが日本初？ NPOバンクは、僕たちのような「普通の人」が出し合って（出資して）集めたお金で、自分たちが住んでいる地域を良くしようという取り組みにお金を貸してくれる銀行です。その仕組みに注目し、NPOバンクを立ち上げようという試みが全国各地（2005年度中に岩手、新潟、名古屋で設立）で始まっています。 ￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥ 「エコ貯金フォーラム」から半年経った2004年7月、「第1回NPOバンクフォーラム」が北海度で開催されました。僕もそのイベントに参加させていただいたのですが、チラシには以下のような文面がありました。 『日本初のNPOバンク・サミットです』 （あれ？「エコ貯金フォーラム」が日本初じゃなかったけ？？） 確かに、パネリスト5名のうち、4名は「エコ貯金フォーラム」でお招きしたみなさまでした。 ￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥ そこで、このイベントを主催した北海道NPOバンクの理事長であり、「エコ貯金フォーラム」にもお招きした杉岡先生に思い切って質問してみました。 「あのー、このチラシに『日本初』って書いてありますけど、『エコ貯金フォーラム』が日本初じゃありませんでしたっけ？」 「NPOバンクが主催したイベントという意味で『日本初』ということだよ。まぁ細かいこと気にしなさんな。はっはっは」 　（うーん、どこか腑に落ちない・・・） でも、イベント終了後の交流会では、パネリストでもなかったのに、A SEED JAPANの取り組みを紹介する機会をいただきました。NPOバンクを立ち上げたいという想いはますます強くなりました。 ￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥　￥ 　これからも『日本初』という名のNPOバンクイベントがみなさんの近くで行われるかもしれません。でも、あまり気になさらないように。それだけ『時代を先取っている』ということではないでしょうか。 【登場人物】杉岡先生 　北海道NPOバンク理事長。ユーモアの絶えない素敵な大学教授。 | comments (x) | trackback (x) |
